About Rebecca Walters Photography
You: Your wedding may be grand, country or vintage rock n roll but whatever your style, you want your unique wedding day captured beautifully and emotively as it unfolds. You have found my website because you want beautiful and timeless documentary / reportage wedding photography that will tell your wedding day as a story. You want to remember the day as it was.
Me; I am a documentary wedding photographer. I love everything real. I love real emotions, real colours, real light. I love being able to capture life around me as it is. Your wedding day is full of everything I love to photograph and I believe it shows in my work that I really love what I do. I love to tell a story through photographs, this is something I am very good at. I have learnt to anticipate the moment and be ready for when it happens. Through the use of composition, timing and light I am able to capture those moments that matter; however brief they may be.
I use a mix of black and white and colour photography. I love black and white for capturing beautifully expressive emotion and anything in natural light looks fantastic in black and white. I love using colour within your chosen schemes to depict the scenery, the details and setting of your wedding. The Bride and Groom portraits are always a mix of the two.
I began my photography journey when I was very young with film SLRs. I am always looking for beautiful light, compositions and telling the story as it is. The glue that holds it all together is the real emotions that we portray; however subtle or plain as day they are. I have studied photography and art since school. I have a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Photography and Digital Imaging. I have worked in London and across the UK with a number of photographers and companies, shooting social events, club openings, private events, press releases, studio work and graduations. I had my own personal photography projects on the go alongside work and university and three successful exhibitions open to the public and photography professionals.
Things you may need to know about me: I love hearing about your wedding plans, I am unobtrusive. The best photographs are captured when you’re totally relaxed, caught up in the moment and unaware of the photographer.
I don’t believe in the hard sell and I always make sure you love my style before you book. I don’t work to lists or hours of endless posing. If you want more than a small amount of group posed photographs with your guests, then I’m probably not the right wedding photographer for you. It’s more important to choose a wedding photographer whose work and personality you like. When everything is packed away, your wedding photographs are the reminders of your day that will last a lifetime. If you would love for me to be your wedding photographer please get in touch to secure your wedding date as soon as possible.
