A beautiful summer and colourful wedding at The Courtyard Hotel; Sam and Matt wanted it relaxed and traditional, with all of their family and friends but mainly they wanted it to be a lot of fun and to enjoy their day; and believe me it most definitely was all those things.
I first met the beautiful Sam and Matt when they were Bridesmaid and Best Man for one of my other lovely couples last year; Claire and Dave. I loved to be able to then document Sam and Matt’s fantastic wedding this year.
First thing in the morning Sam, her Mum and her Bridesmaids all had their hair done at Outcast Hair in Northampton before heading back to Sam and Matt’s house to carry on the bridal preparations; a quick bacon butty, a glass of bucks fizz and everyones new favourite Disney film, Frozen being played in the background. Sam had a gorgeous 50 style dress from Lou Lou Bridal and the younger bridesmaids were in the biggest skirt dresses I have ever seen; this all made for fantastic twirls and dancing. One of my favourite photographs during the morning is the reaction of the Father of the Bride when he sees his daughter in her wedding dress for the first time. A priceless moment and one you have to be ready for.
Sam and Matt are a very fun loving couple and the ceremony was full of these emotions throughout. It was an absolute pleasure to capture this. Oscar their gorgeous son joined them for the signing of the registrar and walked down the aisle with them as newlyweds.
The speeches were fantastic; there was a lot of emotion and lot of laughter. A shot was handed out to the Father of the Groom, there was a slideshow of “this is your life” about Matt and photographs of Matt completely naked! Unfortunately I wont be sharing this one with you today…. The evening was just as fun with the first dance, cutting of the cake and they had a photo booth for later on in the evening which I have no doubt captured some very funny photographs after the shots were flowing.
Enjoy this selection of some of my favourite photographs from Sam and Matt’s Wedding.
