Wow! What a fantastic wedding Oscar and Kate’s wedding was; set in the fields behind one of their parents house in Rugby. I first got a phone call from Oscar wanting to book a documentary wedding photographer for their marquee wedding, which he described as very relaxed outdoor wedding celebration with all their nearest and dearest. An Arabian boudoir meets William Morris afternoon tea style tent! Straight away I knew this was going to be a fantastic wedding to capture and my, it certainly was!
Oscar and Kate are so lovely and looked truly fantastic together all day with their son, family and friends. They had a humanist ceremony in the first field with violins playing and lots of confetti. The guests followed Oscar and Kate down a magical path of greenery to the main marquee where the celebrations really kicked in. There were plenty of delicious canapés to hand with champagne, followed by pulled pork burgers and the juiciest of ribs served for the main outside with a camp fire. Later on in the evening Oscar and Kate had a fantastic band that were a TV cover band – this might sound a bit scary at first but it was fantastic and all the guests loved every second. Everything from The Bill to Question of Sport theme tunes! There was a full moon on their wedding night and all the guest toasted extra large marshmallows around the camp fire and danced into the night.
Here are a few of my favourite ones to tell you the story of Oscar and Kate’s wedding day.
